Everybody pitched in and got it done. Harvesttime? The community raced to get the crops in before the rains came. Where were those crops stored? In barns built by teams of neighbors. In the cities, the same spirit applied. Anonymous craftsmen spent their lives building cathedrals that wouldn’t be completed for generations..Behind the scenes in Chiapas and the Yucatan, Mexico: : The most creative design solutions come from collaboration. In this case, it is between 12 artisan communities researched and led by a dynamic design team, Paola Martinez @paola.mtzp and Guillermo Jester @guijester , my professional designer colleagues in Mexico. It has been inspiring to work together with so many talented artisan partners and designers @aidtoartisans!Look for us this summer @NYnow2019……#chiapas#yucatan#mexico#weaving #traditions #handmade#textiledesign #inspiration#aidtoartisans
