These simple handmade tools, used for weaving voivoi fiber in Fiji, are great models of resourcefulness and creativity. The tools are art forms in themselves; a collection of wooden “sambas” which split the palm-like fiber in various widths for weaving, a piece of baking soda can, a cow bone- “cucurui”, and a repurposed metal spoon.
